About Us

We're not a big corporate photography studio. We're two people who actually care, who got tired of watching graduates settle for overpriced, underwhelming photos. We know this campus, we know the light, we know the spots, and most importantly, we know how much this moment means.
Just like a forced smile that doesn't quite land, authenticity isn't something you can manufacture, and you don't have to take our word for it. You can see it in our photos.

Our Story


In 2024, we kept hearing the same frustration from graduating students: grad photos were just too expensive. So we did something about it. We started offering discounted sessions to get hands-on experience, learn what students actually needed, and make sure we could deliver exceptional photos without the premium price tag.

Early on, we seriously considered structuring Guelph Grad Photos as a nonprofit and even explored launching a scholarship at the University of Guelph. But after consulting with campus partners and mapping out our long-term costs, including a goal to purchase our own gowns and hoods so students don't have to rent them from the bookstore at $56.50, we realized we could serve our community better as a corporation that reinvests its profits into growth and better service. In 2025, Guelph Grad Photos officially became incorporated, and we've been serving the Guelph community ever since.

Meet Pouya

Hey! I'm Pouya, a UofG alum. I studied Management, Finance & Economics right here on campus, so I genuinely know what it took to get to this moment. If you've been following UofG on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook, there's actually a decent chance you've already seen my work. I used to create content for the University. Photography has always been my passion, and I'm a total tech geek when it comes to gear and new equipment. I know this campus inside and out, and I can't wait to help you capture your day the way it deserves to be captured.

Meet Ilyan

Hey, I'm Ilyan! I mainly work behind the scenes, so if you've ever called or messaged us, we've probably already talked! You’ll see me join in on our bigger group sessions, making sure everything runs smoothly, and everyone gets their perfect shot to remember the accomplishment you’ve all worked so hard for.

Away from the camera, you'll find me lost in a book (I love ancient history and biographies!), watching a documentary, or creating pieces of art. Oh, and I share my downtime chilling with the most important guy in my life (my cat), Piyok!
